INAUGURATION OF C.P. SREEKANDAN NAIR BOOK GALLERY

The inaugural session of C.P. Sreekandan Nair Book Gallery was inaugurated by Dr. M.R. Thampan, Former Director of Kerala Bhasha Institute, at PTMCE Library. On this occasion, the Best Library User award was presented to Annie T.S. from the B.Ed batch 2023-25, English option. The event highlighted the importance of literature and learning, and the gallery aims to foster a culture of reading among students.

Day 5 – Empowerment and a Meaningful Farewell: The final day began energetically with a Zumba session, highlighting the importance of physical fitness and well-being in teaching. This was followed by an inspiring talk by Reolin Madam, Sub-Inspector of Police, on “Social Reconstruction through Women Empowerment,” which encouraged reflection on gender equality and the role of teachers in social change. The valedictory function featured session highlights, participant reflections, and expressions of gratitude, concluding with the National Anthem. On this concluding day, my Group (2 Tulip) once again contributed as Fusion Force, assisting in coordination and ensuring the smooth completion of the programme. Participants departed with cherished memories, strengthened values, and lifelong learning experiences.

Day 4 – Inspiration, Skills, and Heritage: The fourth day began with a breathtaking sunrise at Vivekanandapuram, followed by insights into Swami Vivekananda’s vision for spiritual and social upliftment. A powerful mentalism workshop by Sri Vinod Santhipuram demonstrated the importance of concentration, observation, and psychological insight in effective teaching. Later, visits to the tailoring unit, Thiruvalluvar Statue, Heritage Centre, and Vivekananda Rock Memorial offered vocational exposure and cultural enrichment. On this day, my Group( 2 Tulip) served as the Cleaning Crew, contributing to cleanliness and discipline at the camp site, reinforcing values of responsibility, dignity of labour, and collective well-being.

Day 3 – Learning through Travel and Reflection: The third day marked the beginning of the camp’s second phase with a memorable train journey to Kanyakumari. The travel experience fostered camaraderie and collective learning among participants. Visits to Our Lady of Ransom Shrine and the confluence of the three seas offered moments of spiritual reflection and cultural appreciation. Alongside the learning experiences, my Group( 2 Tulip) responsibly handled duties as Financial Stewards, ensuring proper management and transparency of expenses during the journey and visits. This responsibility enhanced students’ understanding of financial discipline, accountability, and organizational skills.
